A benchmark Rhône Valley terroir

Located in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Domaine André Brunel embodies the richness and diversity of the southern Rhône Valley. This historic estate thrives on exceptional soils covered in rounded stones (galets roulés), a hallmark of the region, offering ideal conditions for cultivating noble grape varieties and producing wines of remarkable power, elegance, and complexity.

The estate spans 91 hectares across three key appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Vin de Pays du Vaucluse. Each of these areas contributes its own unique character to the estate’s range. In Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 21 hectares are dedicated to the production of long-aging red and white wines, crafted from iconic varieties such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault for reds, and Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette for whites, many of which are available through 12bouteilles.

The 40 hectares in Côtes-du-Rhône deliver wines that are both accessible and crafted with the same attention to detail, offering bright fruit, freshness, and regional authenticity. Meanwhile, the 30 hectares classified as Vin de Pays du Vaucluse allow the estate to experiment with expressive blends that remain rooted in quality and typicity.

Each vineyard plot is farmed with precision and respect for nature. The estate practices sustainable viticulture and employs gentle, minimalist vinification techniques to let the fruit and terroir speak clearly in each wine. The result is a range of expressive cuvées that faithfully reflect the land from which they come.

Generational excellence with a modern twist

André Brunel established the estate’s outstanding reputation with decades of dedication and craftsmanship. Since 2022, his son Fabrice has taken over, bringing a renewed energy while honoring the values that shaped the domaine. With a deep respect for his father’s work, Fabrice introduces modern refinements and a vision focused on sustainability, purity of expression, and technical precision.

This thoughtful generational handover includes innovations in winemaking—such as lower sulfur use, improved oak management, and a stronger focus on site-specific vinification—while maintaining the hallmarks of quality, structure, and balance. It’s a blend of tradition and innovation that enhances the unique identity of each wine produced by the domaine.

The wines of Domaine André Brunel stand out for their consistent quality, finesse, and cellaring potential. Reds are layered with ripe black fruits, spice, and a hint of garrigue, supported by velvety tannins and persistent finishes.
