The colour is a deep garnet-purple
The nose gives off scents of red fruits, raspberries and then deep, powerful black fruits
The palate is full-bodied, rich and reveals fruity notes. Beautiful, very ripe tannins, incredibly fine, velvety and fantastically fresh. The finish is almost endless. A magnificent bottle.
Vieux Château Certan, is 14 hectares in size, owned by the Famille Thienpont for over a century.
The 2020 vintage blend is 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and cabernet-sauvignon.
The 12bouteilles advice : Enjoy it with a delicate meat, a suckling lamb from Pauillac for example. Serve at around 15°C -18°C
