Tenuta San Guido: Guidalberto 2015
Guidalberto is the second wine of the Italian estate Tenuta San Guido located in Tuscany. This second wine is made by Nicolo, the son of Mario Incisa della Rochetta, he was born from the desire to create a wine made from Merlot but also the desire to offer the consumer a product that can be appreciated younger.
The 2015 vintage comes from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, from the same grapes selected for the design of Sassicaia, the estate's first wine.
Guidalberto 2015 is adorned with a deep dress of dark red color. Its nose releases scents of plums, cherries and dark chocolate with hints of earth and smoky oak. In the mouth, the tannins are soft and greasy, with a great freshness. The palate is full-bodied and delivers aromas of plums and black cherries with notes of tobacco and cedar. The finish is fine and really long.
The advice of 12bouteilles: An excellent second wine, very elegant, to drink young or to keep. We advise you to decant it at least one hour before the tasting. It will be delicious married with a rib of lamb.
