This Champagne Roederer Vintage 2015 is a cuvée made from Pinot Noirs complemented by Chardonnays. This cuvée aged 4 years on lees aims to capture the highest expression of Pinot noir.
The colour is an intense yellow adorned with golden highlights and a very fine effervescence.
the intense bouquet of yellow fruit (mirabelle plum, tart mango), candied lemon, flowers (mimosa) and pastries. A little agitation brings out notes of sugared almonds (almond powder).
You'd expect a continuation of the substance and volume, but it's nothing of the sort. In fact it's quite the opposite, the wave recedes revealing precision, purity and chalky, mineral freshness. A
