Rhone Valley - Crozes-Hermitage - Red Wine -Crozes Hermitage 2015 Maison Les Alexandrins, is a great Syrah wine produced in the Rhone Valley.
After the 2015 solar and Mediterranean vintage, the 2016 vintage of Crozes-Hermitage 2016 is very structured and fresh. The wines are flattering from the first months but their balance will carry them for many years.
This wine has a beautiful purple and dense red color. Nose with fresh aromas of violet, red fruits on a mineral point and a hint of spices (Sichuan pepper). This wine is balanced between freshness and its density in the mouth. The tannins are all velvety. We find on the palate aromas of liquorice and fruit extending on notes of violets. A nice marriage of balance and greed.
"Pure juniper and violets on the nose. The palate has inky concentration, but remains fresh. Good tannic grain and bright acidity bring a lovely sense of liveliness and purity, with a long finish. The best Crozes I've tasted from Alexandrins to date." - Decanter 91/100
The advice of 12bouteilles: Already perfect, serve this 2016 vintage between 16°C and 18°C. Delicious, as well as an aperitif with a meat or a game.

Crozes is the largest vineyard among the northern appellations with a little more than 1300 hectares. It extends over 11 municipalities located in the Drôme on the left bank of the Rhone.
