Colour : The colour of this wine is morello cherry pink and slightly cloudy.
Nose : A complex bouquet revealing aromas of small red fruits, enhanced by floral notes and a remarkable minerality that sublimates the whole.
Palate : This rosé is bright, tangy and finely chiselled, revealing a combination of finesse, freshness and complexity. Buoyed by a stunning minerality, it has a superb lingering finish.
The 12bouteilles advice : To accompany the Marsannay Fleur de Pinot, we recommend drinking it at a temperature of 11-12°C with a slab of pike-perch roasted in beurre blanc and a fricassee of mushrooms with wild pepper.
Domaine Sylvain Pataille's Marsannay rosé Fleur de Pinot 2020 is made exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir grapes.
This cuvée comes from old Pinot vines grown on the limestone soils of the locality known as "La Charme aux Prêtres". This selection undergoes extended ageing, with a one-year period in barrels and demi-muids, followed by a year in the cellar.
The story of Domaine Sylvain Pataille is the story of a man who has been passionate about the world of wine since his youth. As a consultant oenologist, Sylvain Pataille took the decision in 1999 to lease a hectare of vines, with the ambition of creating Burgundy wines that express the potential and nuances of the Marsannay appellation with elegance and authenticity.
Between 2000 and 2011, the estate's surface area grew from 2 to 4 hectares, marking the permanent installation of Sylvain Pataille at the estate in 2011. The estate then grew to 10 hectares in 2002. Today, Domaine Sylvain Pataille oversees a 17-hectares vineyard, which has been organically farmed since 2008 under Ecocert certification.
Sylvain attaches great importance to maturing the wines in oak barrels and ensuring that they are of the highest possible quality. The top-of-the-range wines are distinguished by their exceptional freshness, finesse and elegance.
