Burgundy - Beaune - 1er Cru - Red Wine -In Beaune, the 2021 vintage is proving to be very promising, with wines offering a magnificent combination of great richness and perfect balance.
Thanks to meticulous selection right from the harvest, the wines of this appellation are of exceptional quality, characterised by remarkable balance. The aromatic bouquet, rich in subtleties, delicately blends floral notes such as lime blossom and acacia with intense fruity aromas of pear, peach, ripe citrus fruit and preserved lemons.
Tasting notes:
The robe: transparent carmine red.
The nose: notes of cherry and liquorice on the nose, supported by a light woody touch. There are also hints of earth, raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, a little cherry and plum. The whole is supported by a little gravel and lactic notes.
The palate: On the palate, this remarkably supple cuvée reveals a generous body that brings out the richness of the red and black fruit. The Pinot Noir expresses itself with a pleasant freshness, supple tannins and a long finish.
This Beaune 1er cru "Aux Coucherias" 2021 is a wine produced in the Burgundy region by Domaine Boris Champy. The name "Coucherias" comes from the sunsets that set fire to our vines planted in the 1960s. The parcel, situated on a steeply sloping clay-limestone soil with a magnificent westerly exposure, is subdivided into two sub-islands, the smaller of which forms an old quarry cirque.
This wine, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, is hand-picked at the optimum moment of ripeness. It is then placed in oak barrels for an average of 12 months, 30% of which are new, and benefits from Demeter biodynamic certification.
The 12bouteilles advice : This wine is best enjoyed with grilled red meats, boletus risotto or an old mimolette cheese. It can also be cellared for 8 to 15 years for optimum ageing.
