Clos de l’Oratoire 2022 is an elegant and precise expression of Saint-Émilion. Located on clay-limestone soils, this Grand Cru stands out for its balance, natural freshness and refined aromatic profile. The well-controlled 2022 vintage delivers a wine with ample texture, silky tannins and a clear sense of terroir.
Appearance: deep, brilliant purple.
Nose: expressive and complex with ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), black cherry, floral notes (violet), fine spices and a subtle chalky nuance.
Palate: broad and harmonious. Dense yet finely chiseled core supported by elegant, fine-grained tannins. Freshness brings tension and length, leading to a long, precise and persistent finish.
Planted on clay-limestone soils typical of Saint-Émilion, the vineyard benefits from excellent water regulation and gradual ripening. The 2022 blend is dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, delivering structure, aromatic freshness and aging potential.
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled vats with controlled macerations to preserve fruit purity and textural finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated.
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, beef fillet, duck breast, veal or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
Clos de l’Oratoire 2022 is an elegant, approachable Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé. Enjoy now with aeration or cellar gracefully gaining complexity and refinement.
