Château Poujeaux 2014

Château Poujeaux 2014 is a delicious wine, a nice bottle of Moulis perfect to drink on a Sunday with the family.
The color is deep, of surprising intensity, the bouquet is complex with notes of black berries, spices and tobacco. On the palate, it is a real pleasure wine, juicy, fleshy, fruity, deep. It is a very successful vintage of Moulis.
Rated 89-91/100 by Neal Martin - Robert Parker Wine Advocate :
The Château Poujeaux 2014 is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 35% Merlot. It offers blackberry and briary scents on the nose, a little disjointed at first but the aromas coalesce with time. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin. There is satisfying fruit concentration here, finely-tuned acidity and a really quite sophisticated, elegant finish. Classically lined Poujeaux that should settle at the upper end of my banded score.
The advice of 12bouteilles: A great wine is not necessarily an expensive wine, this is the case of this Poujeaux 2014. Just open it 30 minutes before tasting on roast beef.
