Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, luminous purple.
Nose: highly expressive with blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry, violet, graphite, cedar, fine spices and subtle toasted notes.
Palate: broad, powerful and impeccably controlled. Dense core supported by exceptionally fine-grained, silky tannins. Outstanding balance, vibrant tension and an extremely long, refined finish.
Terroir & Blend
Iconic Pauillac gravel soils over clay-limestone subsoils, offering optimal drainage and thermal regulation. Blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, providing structure, complexity and remarkable aging potential.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes, multiple sorting stages and precise parcel-by-parcel vinification. Long aging in French oak barrels with a high proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated and emblematic of the Mouton Rothschild style.
Food Pairings
Perfect with rib-eye steak, wagyu beef, lamb, game, truffle dishes or fine gastronomy. Serve at 60–63°F (16–17°C). Decant for 2 hours when young.
