Mendoza - Red Wine -Mundus Bacillus Terrae 2020 in the 2020 vintage is a 100% Malbec, very rich, powerful and silky.
Robe : Deep red, very intense with significant purple highlights, bright and seductive.
Aroma : Complex and intense, notes of black fruit and dried fruit with a minerality at the end. Fine and seductive.
Mouth: Ample attack with soft tannins, round and very seductive finish. Silky;
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and 75% of the start of fermentation in Concrete (50% whole bunches) and 25% of the completion of fermentation in Oak Foudre (just the juice).
Maturation: 15-18 months in French oak barrels, the treatment of the oak is decided according to the characteristics of the vintage.
The Catena Family is entering its second century of winemaking in Mendoza, Argentina. Named after Nicolás Catena Zapata’s youngest daughter, the Adrianna Vineyard is located at almost 5,000 feet elevation in Mendoza. The soils in this 1.4 hectare parcel are filled with scattered limestone and marine deposits that covered the region millions of years ago. The limestone layers are well-drained and particularly rich in rhizobacteria, the microorganisms that help vine roots withstand stress and absorb nutrients. Thus, the name "mundus bacillus terrae" or "elegant microbes of the earth".
