A historic estate rooted in a unique terroir

Château Haut-Bages Libéral, located in the prestigious Pauillac appellation, stands as a symbol of Médoc excellence. Classified as a 5th Grand Cru in the 1855 ranking, the estate takes its name from its location – the Bages plateau – and the Libéral family, who owned it in the 18th century. Nestled between some of Bordeaux’s most iconic châteaux, its reputation is deeply embedded in the region’s winemaking heritage.

Covering around 30 hectares, the vineyard is planted on deep gravel ridges resting atop a limestone base. This exceptional terroir offers natural drainage and allows for optimal ripening of the grapes. The estate is now certified organic, reflecting its deep commitment to sustainable practices and precision viticulture.
