The Nuit-Saint-Georges red 2020 from Domaine Michel Noëllat, is a single-varietal Pinot Noir cuvée made from 50-year-old vines planted on a 1.60 hectare plot of clay-limestone soil.
Passion and respect for the terroir are the hallmarks of Domaine Michel Noëllat. This is how all wines, however different they may be, are made with the same care. This 2020 Red Nuit-Saint-Georges is one of the estate's flagship cuvées; a wine on the fruit that is both powerful and harmonious.
Tasting note:
The robe: intense red
The nose: fresh and pleasant, peppery notes and aromas of red fruits such as blackcurrant, cherries, almost jammy
The palate: greedy, harmonious and powerful, the tannins are smooth and melted
The advice of 12bouteilles: will go wonderfully with a nice rib of beef, a duck breast or a nice piece of cheese.
