Génot-Boulanger: Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Folatières" 2020

Burgundy - Puligny Montrachet - 1er Cru - White Wine -

This Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Folatières" 2020 is a great organic, 100% Chardonnay white wine produced by Domaine Génot-Boulanger in Burgundy. Made from vines planted in the 1970s on limestone and marl soils, the quality of this terroir leads us to believe that it is one of Puligny-Montrachet's finest 1er cru.

Tasting notes :

The robe: pale yellow with silver highlights

The nose: aromatic, with notes of white flowers (elderberry, jasmine, almond blossom)

The palate: straightforward, chiselled, greedy, with impressive finesse and plenty of freshness

12bouteilles' suggestion: To be served between 10 and 12°C, it is the perfect accompaniment to fish or seafood.

Domaine Génot-Boulanger is a sublime vineyard planted in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in Meursault. Initiated by a family of Parisian pharmacists, whose ambition was to create an estate in one of Burgundy's winegrowing hotspots, Domaine Génot Boulanger was born in 1974. Charles-Henri Génot and his wife Marie (née) Boulanger acquired their first parcel of vines in Mercurey. Over the years, the vineyard grew steadily, acquiring new plots in Meursault "Clos du Cromin", Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune.
