Tasting notes :
The color : A clear, dazzling and promising ruby, its seductive limpidity and its subtly purplish reflections offer us a remarkable introduction.
The nose : pretty bouquet where notes of red fruits, such as cherry and strawberry, are predominant. Delicate floral touches subtly intertwine with light notes of undergrowth.
Palate : A frank and dynamic attack reveals supple and refined tannins. The fruity flavors unfold with freshness, accentuated by delicate notes evoking licorice. The balanced and persistent finish demonstrates remarkable work in the development of this premier cru.
The 12bouteilles advice : To fully appreciate this wine, serve it at a temperature of 15-16°C. With an aging potential of 9-15 years, it will further develop its complexity and potential over time. To accompany it, choose a roast veal chop, poultry with wild mushrooms or a truffle risotto. For lovers of sweets, a red fruit tart will enhance the tasting.
Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chatelots 2021 is an exceptional wine, made 100% from the Pinot Noir grape variety in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation.
For five generations, the Amiot family has run Domaine Pierre Amiot & Fils, located in Morey-Saint-Denis. Since 1981, Jean-Louis Amiot and his brother Didier have managed it. The estate extends over nearly 8 hectares, spread between Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin. Their range of wines offers a variety of appellations, including 2 Burgundies, 3 Villages, 5 Premiers Crus and 2 Grands Crus.
Vinification follows Burgundian tradition and is carried out in thermo-regulated vats, with fermentation carried out by native yeasts. The different stages of aging in oak barrels are planned in harmony with the lunar calendar.
These methods aim to fully reveal the unique character of the terroir. The wines of Domaine Didier Amiot often faithfully embody their appellation and are especially praised for their remarkable balance between finesse and generosity.
