Crafted from deep gravel soils, it reflects the precision and aromatic finesse characteristic of Rauzan-Ségla.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, intense and brilliant purple.
Nose: complex and precise with notes of blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry, violet, cedar, fine spices, graphite and a subtle saline minerality.
Palate: broad, structured and perfectly balanced. Fine, silky tannins are integrated seamlessly, supported by lively freshness. Dense material leads to a long, elegant and persistent finish.
Terroir & Blend
Deep gravel soils of Margaux with clay-limestone subsoils provide optimal drainage and a balance between power and finesse. Blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, contributing complexity, structure and longevity.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes with stringent sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification with extended, controlled macerations to extract depth and finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully calibrated proportion of new oak to enhance structure while preserving pure fruit expression.
Food Pairings
Ideal with grilled or roasted red meats, dry-aged beef, lamb, game birds, refined sauced dishes or aged cheeses. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 2 hours when young to fully unlock aromatic complexity.
