Crafted from the same Saint-Estèphe gravel terroirs and with identical precision, it offers a more approachable expression of the Montrose style while retaining structure, balance and freshness. The 2022 vintage stands out for its harmony, fine tannin texture and energy.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, vibrant purple.
Nose: clean and expressive, revealing blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry, with graphite, fine spices and subtle, well-integrated oak.
Palate: broad and harmonious, featuring fine, silky tannins. Dense yet fluid, supported by vibrant freshness and a precise, persistent finish.
Terroir & Blend
Iconic Saint-Estèphe gravel soils over clay-limestone subsoils, moderated by the Gironde estuary. Blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, providing balance, structure and complexity.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes, strict selection and precise parcel-by-parcel vinification. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully controlled proportion of new oak to preserve fruit purity and terroir expression.
Food Pairings
Ideal with roasted beef, veal, lamb, mushroom dishes or aged cheeses. Serve at 60–63°F (16–17°C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
