Bordeaux - Pauillac - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Écho de Lynch-Bages 2022 is the iconic second wine of the prestigious Château Lynch-Bages from Pauillac. This cuvée offers a more approachable and immediate expression of the Lynch-Bages style while retaining elegance, structure and depth. The 2022 vintage shows excellent harmony between aromatic concentration, freshness and tannin precision.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep, bright purple.
Nose: expressive and refined with ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), black cherry, hints of graphite, cedar, fine spices and subtle floral notes.
Palate: broad and structured with silky, well-integrated tannins. Dense yet balanced by Pauillac’s characteristic saline freshness. Long, elegant and persistent finish.
Terroir & Blend
Pauillac’s gravel soils over clay-limestone subsoils provide excellent drainage and Atlantic influence. The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, contributing balance, complexity and elegance.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-picked grapes with strict sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification with controlled macerations to extract finesse and depth. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully calibrated proportion of new oak to enhance structure without masking fruit purity.
Food Pairings
Perfect with grilled or roasted red meats, beef fillet, lamb, game birds, elaborated sauced dishes or aged cheeses. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant 1–2 hours when young.
