Les Forts de Latour 2017

Bordeaux - Pauillac - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -

Les Forts de Latour 2017, is the second wine of the famous Château Latour. A sublime red wine, it is one of the greatest wines of Pauillac. It comes from around the Enclos du Château, possessing younger vines (about 40 years old) and some parcels that could be used for the grand vin. This 2017 vintage has a nice freshness and greediness.

Tasting notes:

The robe: dark and dense

The nose: notes of sweet spices, ripe red fruits

The palate: a lot of freshness, tannins supported

The advice of 12bouteilles: Serve between 17°C and 18°C, it will perfectly accompany red meat in sauce. It is a wine with great ageing potential, it should be drunk preferably between 2025 and 2050.

A Vineyard of 95 hectares, Château Latour is located in the heart of the Médoc, about 50km from Bordeaux. First Classified Growth in 1855 in the Pauillac appellation according to the official classification, it is at the top of the great wines of Bordeaux.
