As a Fourth Growth and part of the Rothschild family estates, the winery consistently produces wines with refined structure, pure Cabernet Sauvignon character and precise aromatics. The well-balanced 2022 vintage offers intense fruit, finely chiselled tannins and refreshing minerality.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep garnet with violet highlights, brilliant.
Nose: elegant and complex, revealing ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry), complemented by graphite, cedar, gentle spices, blond tobacco and subtle smoky notes.
Palate: broad, straight and structured, with a dense yet balanced core. Fine, ripe, silky tannins and Pauillac’s signature freshness bring tension and length to a long and refined finish.
Terroir & Blend
The vineyards of Château Duhart-Milon lie on deep Garonne gravel soils in Pauillac, ensuring excellent drainage and even ripening. The 2022 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot, providing structure, depth and aromatic finesse.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Traditional vinification with controlled macerations to preserve fruit purity and tannin finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated.
Food Pairings
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, dry-aged beef, rack of lamb, game or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
