Château d’Armailhac 2022 is a precise and elegant expression of Pauillac in an outstanding vintage. As a Fifth Growth, this wine combines aromatic intensity, saline freshness and refined structure. True to the Rothschild spirit, the 2022 vintage stands out for its pure fruit, silky tannins and clear sense of terroir.
Appearance: deep, brilliant purple.
Nose: expressive and complex with blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry, complemented by graphite, cedar, fine spices and subtle floral notes.
Palate: broad, structured and harmonious. Fine-grained tannins integrate seamlessly into a dense yet balanced core. Pauillac’s characteristic freshness brings tension and length, leading to a long, saline and persistent finish.
Deep Pauillac gravel soils over clay-limestone subsoils ensure excellent drainage and gradual ripening. The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Petit Verdot, delivering complexity, structure and aging potential.
Hand-harvested grapes with strict selection. Parcel-by-parcel vinification with controlled macerations to extract depth and finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a carefully calibrated proportion of new oak, enhancing structure without overshadowing fruit purity.
Perfect with dry-aged beef, rib-eye steak, roasted lamb, game birds or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 2 hours when young.
Château d’Armailhac 2022 is an elegant, age-worthy Pauillac. Enjoy with aeration today or cellar gracefully for years, revealing increasing complexity and refined tertiary notes.
