Château Berliquet 2022 offers a precise and elegant expression of Saint-Émilion. As a Grand Cru Classé owned by the Moueix family, the estate benefits from historic limestone and clay-limestone slopes close to the finest crus of the plateau. The well-controlled 2022 vintage delivers a wine of intensity, balance and remarkable textural finesse.
Appearance: deep garnet with violet highlights, brilliant and dense.
Nose: pure and expressive, revealing black cherry, blackberry and plum, complemented by delicate floral notes, fine spices and a chalky mineral touch typical of limestone soils.
Palate: broad and silky. Generous yet perfectly balanced, supported by fine, ripe and elegant tannins. Limestone freshness brings tension and precision, leading to a long, refined and persistent finish.
The vineyards of Château Berliquet lie on clay-limestone slopes and terraces, providing freshness, verticality and aromatic precision. The 2022 blend is dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, delivering structure, finesse and aging potential.
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled vats with gentle, controlled macerations to preserve fruit purity and tannin finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated.
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, rack of lamb, beef fillet, fine poultry or mushroom-based dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
Château Berliquet 2022 is an elegant, age-worthy Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé. Enjoyable now with aeration, it will evolve gracefully gaining depth and refined complexity.
