Mas de la Rosa 2018 from Torres is a Priorat wine, a blend of Grenache and Carignan, made from the best grapes from a 2-hectare vineyard at Finca Mas de la Rosa, in the Porrera region in the northeast of the Catalonia.
It is a very rare wine, the production is less than 2,000 bottles per vintage.

The 2018 vintage is a very elegant, dense red wine with well-polished tannins and a nice acidity.

The wine is aged for 18 months in 1500 liter French oak barrels.

Blend: 60% Carignan and 40% Grenache

The 2018 vintage was extremely well rated by Rober Parker: 98/100

Torres is a large family house, producing wine in Spain since 1870. The House of Torres won in 2021 the title of the most admired house in the world by the prestigious magazine Drinks International.
Present in the largest appellations of Spain but also in the new world, the Torres family owns 2,000 hectares of vines in Spain, 26 hectares in the USA with Marimar Estate and 440 hectares in Chile with Miguel Torres Chile.

The advice of 12bouteilles: Like most Spanish wines, the wines age for a few years in the cellar before being put on the market when they are ready to drink. This bottle is to be forgotten for a few years in your cellar, time will improve it! If you want to taste it, decant the bottle at least 6 hours before serving it. It will go wonderfully with your red meats and cheeses.
