The Terrazas de Los Andes Grand Malbec 2021 stands out for its intensely purple, almost opaque hue, showcasing the full power and elegance of a great Argentine Malbec. This 2021 vintage, sourced from the high-altitude vineyards of Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, delivers a remarkable balance of ripe fruit, aromatic freshness, and deep tannic structure.
Tasting Note:
Appearance: deep purple with violet highlights, almost opaque.
Nose: fresh aromas of black fruits (blackberry, blueberry), violet and blood orange, lifted by notes of dried herbs, thyme, and a delicate graphite minerality.
Palate: a dense, full-bodied attack, fleshy and smooth, combining juicy fruit and powdery tannins. The finish is long, silky, and perfectly balanced by refined acidity.
12bouteilles' Recommendation: serve between 16 – 18 °C. Ideal with grilled rib-eye with chimichurri, roasted rack of lamb, or a selection of aged cheeses (Manchego, Pecorino).
The Terrazas de Los Andes Grand Malbec 2021 is made exclusively from Malbec (100 %).
The 2021 vintage draws its character from vines situated between 800 and 1 200 m altitude, spread over twelve parcels farmed with regenerative agriculture. The wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 40 % new, adding complexity and finesse.
Founded in 1999 by Moët & Chandon, the Terrazas de Los Andes estate selects high-altitude terroirs on the Andean slopes to craft elegant, authentic wines. Since its inception, Terrazas de Los Andes has been recognized for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and relentless pursuit of quality.
