Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the "Les Grands Charrons" climat is one of the most renowned lieux-dits of the Meursault appellation. Sébastien Magnien delivers a brilliant interpretation here. In this 2023 vintage, this wine embodies the archetype of great Meursault: it marvelously combines the natural opulence and buttery roundness of the appellation with the tension and crystalline purity that are the estate's signature.
Appearance: Pale gold, clear and brilliant, adorned with delicate golden highlights.
Nose: Gourmand and classic. Aromas of fresh butter, toasted almond, hazelnut, white flowers, and ripe citrus.
Palate: Full, smooth, and enveloping. An unctuous texture perfectly balanced by beautiful mineral energy. Long finish with brioche notes.
This 100% Chardonnay comes from the famous "Les Grands Charrons" lieu-dit, composed of limestone marls and deep clay soils. This terroir gives the wine its characteristic richness and aromatic power.
Gentle pressing. Fermentation and aging on fine lees in French oak barrels (about 20% new wood) for 12 to 15 months. Measured bâtonnage to nourish the wine without weighing it down.
Ideal with poultry in cream sauce, veal fillet with chanterelles, seafood blanquette, lobster, or Brillat-Savarin cheese.
A seductive wine to enjoy today or cellar for 5 to 8 years. Decant for 1 hour before serving to release its aromas, and serve between 12 and 14°C.
