Red Wine -Santa Rita 120 Merlot 2013 is a beautiful, sun-drenched grape variety with excellent value for money! Coming from Central Valley, Chile, Santa Rita produces high quality artisanal wines, and is widely recognized as an international ambassador for some of Chile's finest wines.
The "120" wine series was named after the historic event of 1814 when 120 soldiers took refuge in the cellars of Santa Rita during Chile's war of independence. These wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures and bottled early to preserve the fruity and natural flavors of each variety. The 120 wines are young, fresh and fruity, elegant and perfectly balanced with good acidity.
This Santa Rita 100% Merlot has a red-purple color, we liked its expressive nose, with intense notes of red fruits, vanilla and tobacco. On the palate, this 2013 vintage reveals a nice balance of acidity with ripe tannins. The volume is dense and elegant, we find delicious aromas of red fruit, fresh and fruity.
The little plus, its screw cap appreciable when you want to consume only a few glasses.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Ready to drink, this grape wine blends perfectly with a fatty fish such as salmon.
