Bordeaux - Côtes de Bordeaux - Red Wine -Château Roc de Cambes in this 2020 vintage is a powerful, well-balanced wine with a lovely freshness.
The colour is intense red, almost black.
The nose offers us a subtle bouquet of black fruit, cherries, then chocolate.
On the palate, it is perfectly balanced between finesse and complexity, power and deliciousness. The tannins are present but controlled, giving structure to the whole. The finish is very long and silky. A surprising wine for a Côtes de Bourg.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 80% Merlot, 15 Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec.
Maturing for the 2020 vintage was 20 months in oak barrels.
Château Roc de Cambes, Côtes de Bourg is one of François Mitjavile's wines also owner of Château Tertre-Roteboeuf in Saint Emilion.
