Château Cheval Blanc 2016

Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -

Cheval Blanc is a prestigious estate, 1st Grand Cru Classé A in the 1954 classification of Saint-Emilion red wines. The domain is the joint ownership of the Belgian businessman Albert Frère and the boss of the LVMH luxury group, Bernard Arnault. Château Cheval Blanc produces a good wine at any age! From vine to bottling, Cheval Blanc embodies the excellence and know-how of a unique terroir.

Coming from a blend of 55% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, this 2016 vintage is already a great vintage, in line with its predecessors, greatly applauded by the most renowned oenology tasters.

This 2016 vintage of Cheval Blanc is adorned with a beautiful intense garnet red color almost black. Its nose is an aromatic bouquet with aromas of black cherries, blackcurrant, graphite (mineral) and slight notes of wild mint. In the mouth, the attack is medium-bodied, the tannins are fine and delicate. The acidity is well balanced and joins with a nice freshness. The finish is extraordinarily persistent!

Cheval Blanc 2016 is round, velvety, with the aromatic complexity of Cabernet Franc and the richness of Merlot.

The advice of 12bouteilles: A very great wine to keep for at least 10 years. Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before serving. Serve chilled around 17 ° C on a red meat or cheese. Cheval Blanc is delicious at any age, but we advise you to wait a few years before opening it.
