Penfolds : Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2020

Red Wine -

This Bin 398 Cabernet Shiraz 2020, is a sublime red wine produced by the Penfolds estate. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%) and Syrah (49%), it is aged for 12 months in American oak barrels. It is the most powerful expression, intensely flavoured and structured, resulting in a unique Australian style that is now recognized as one of the benchmarks of Penfolds wines and one of the best value for money.

Tasting notes:

The robe: deep garnet

The nose: aromas of black fruits (plums, blackberries, blackcurrants) and notes of vanilla

The palate: the attack is fresh and medium-bodied, the wine reveals complex flavours of black and blue fruits. The tannins are refreshing and perfectly integrated

The advice of 12bouteilles: To be served around 16°C-18°C, this red wine will perfectly accompany red meats. It can be enjoyed now and can be kept until 2050.

First produced in 1960, this Australian red wine is often referred to as "Baby Grange", a nod to the estate's great wine. Bin 389 is sourced from several regions of Australia McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Wrattonbully and Coonawarra.
