Made from a grape from Bordeaux, the Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys a perfect climate offered by the forests in the heights of California. The terroir of Napa Valley has a sun exposure with specific microclimates that are ideal for the development of rich and fruity wines. To make the most of flavors and aromas, the grapes are hand-picked and vinified separately to add complexity to the final wine. The fermentation is carried out naturally, with yeasts from the same region in order to keep its characteristics to the maximum and in a concern for sustainable and balanced practices.

A blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot, Newton's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Unfiltered has a dense ruby/purple color, a beautiful nose of blackcurrants, licorice, camphor and incense. There's some spice box and subtle background oak as well. It is medium to full-bodied, elegant, and like most of Newton's wines, seems to represent a beautiful crossover between the elegance and finesse of a great Bordeaux and the ripeness, power and exuberance of a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink it over the next 20+ years. »

On the palate: Its mouthfeel is fresh, pleasant and unctuous. Dense chocolate tannins are the setting for a lingering finish.
