This 2018 vintage of Chante Alouette is a superb cuvée well representative of white Hermitage wines. A bottle not to be missed !
Chante Alouette is a great white wine produced by the Rhone vineyard M.Chapoutier, in the Hermitage appellation.
The grapes, producing this wine are harvested manually at maturity and come from three different vineyards: "Le Méal", "Les Murets" and "Chante-Alouette", this last vineyard is based on loess with a clay-limestone layer.
This 100% Marsanne varietal wine is adorned with a beautiful bright golden green color. Complex and subtle, the nose expresses aromas of quince, walnut, honey, ginger and acacia with light notes of linden. On the palate, the attack is frank and sweet, the final, long and elegant, has almond flavors.
The advice of 12bouteilles: This 2019 vintage accompanies perfectly foie gras, shellfish and fish, also excellent with a curry dish.
