M.Chapoutier - "Invitare" Condrieu white 2016

"Invitare" is an organic white wine produced by M.Chapoutier in the Condrieu appellation of Rhône Valley.
The soils are composed of altered schists and granites which are found in the wine by an aromatic power as well as a great complexity. This type of soil is also a vector of freshness and minerality for the wine.
This wine is made from Viognier, the flagship grape of the appellation, the harvest is done manually at perfect maturity.
The 2016 vintage of "Invitare" is adorned with a beautiful golden dress with some green highlights. Very fruity, the nose expresses exotic aromas of pineapple, lichi, peach and apricot on notes of acacia blossom. On the palate, the attack is round and full with a long vanilla finish.
We find in "Invitare" the authenticity of the Condrieu appellation with notes of white peach, candied fruit and a nice tension.
The advice of 12bouteilles: To serve between 10 ° C and 12 ° C, this white wine of M.Chapoutier is delicious with a dish both sweet and salty (oriental and Asian cuisine). Ideal also as an aperitif, it is a wine that can be married but is self-sufficient.
"The 2016 Condrieu Invitare is fresh, clean and balanced, avoiding any of the oiliness that can sometimes creep into Viognier. Lightly floral on the nose, it shows honeydew and apricot flavors, medium to full body, and hints of white pepper and tannin on the long finish. It should drink well for several years. 2018 - 2022" - Wine Advocate Parker 93/100
