Mas de la Séranne : Bonaventura 2019
Languedoc - Terrasses du Larzac - Red Wine -This 2019 "Bonaventura" cuvée produced by the Mas de la Séranne estate comes this year from the Brousses terroir made up of limestone pebbles and deep red clay. Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan flourish in vines surrounded by wild garrigue. This is a rich and complex wine offering plenty of bounce in the tasting.

Mas de la Séranne was founded in 1998 by Jean-Pierre Venture, where he started by buying his first five hectares of vines on the very prestigious terroirs of Aniane, now the estate has 17 hectares. The vines are planted with Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan but also Cinsault which brings an extra complexity when blended with the classic Languedoc grapes.
The estate is located in the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. This appellation is known for its aromatic complexity and the freshness of the wines due to the day/night temperature variations (which can reach more than 20°C in summer). The diversity of the types of soils confers to the domain a beautiful typicity of wines combining aromas of ripe fruits, spices, and a beautiful structure supported by very fine tannins.
This vineyard, very sensitive to biodynamics, has decided to be inspired by it to complete their treatments with products such as infusions of plants and to carry out according to the lunar calendar of the operations like the pollarding, the ploughing, the grafting, the plantations, the bottlings...
The advice 12bouteilles: This wine has an ageing potential of 8 to 10 years. We advise you to serve it at a temperature of 18°C with red meat and some cheese.
The Domaine Mas de la Séranne produces several biodynamic cuvées, red wines from the Terrasses du Larzac that you may also like : Clos des Immortelles 2020, Les Griottiers 2021, Antonin et Louis 2020 et Bonaventura 2019.
