Louis Latour : Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi" 2011

Burgundy - Corton - Grand Cru - Red Wine -

The appellation Corton was from the 15th century appreciated by the kings of France who even annexed this parcel in 1477. Becoming royal estate, the Corton became "Clos du Roi". The climate currently includes about fifteen owners, among the best known: the Hospices de Beaune, Chandon de Briailles, Louis Latour, Montille, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti ... Such houses assure the Cos du Roi a great reputation. The wines of this Grand Cru are powerful, vinous and complex.

The 2011 vintage of the Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi" Red has a beautiful garnet red color. The nose develops aromas of liquorice and vanilla. The mouth is round, charming with an elegant finish. The tannins are still present but well melted. This 2011 vintage has an excellent ability to age.

Apogee suggested: 2016-2030

The advice of 12bouteilles: It will accompany perfectly red and white meats, poultry. A lot of finesse on a leg of lamb. Serve chilled around 15 °
