In this Côte de Beaune cuvée, the Pommard 2022 from the Maison Louis Latour reveals a brilliant and refined interpretation of a great Burgundy red wine, crafted from Pinot Noir. Here is our tasting note:
Appearance: deep with bright ruby highlights.
Nose: expressive and elegant, offering aromas of Morello cherry, roasted coffee, and spices.
Palate: fresh and structured, revealing cherry flavors, elegant tannins, and a beautiful mineral finish. A refined and characterful wine.
The Pommard 2022 is made from Pinot Noir grown on 30-year-old vines planted in clay-limestone soils. The yield is controlled at 45 hl/ha and harvesting is manual. Traditional fermentation takes place in open vats, followed by full malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels crafted by Louis Latour’s cooperage, with 15% new oak.
This Pommard showcases all the depth and concentration characteristic of the appellation, offering a perfect balance between aromatic richness, freshness, and elegant tannins. A true classic to enjoy now or age gracefully in the cellar.
12bouteilles' Tip: Serve between 14 and 15°C. Perfect with duck confit, beef bourguignon, or aged cheeses like Pont-l'Évêque and Époisses. An elegant wine ready to charm now or with further aging.
