Burgundy - Gevrey Chambertin - Village - Red Wine -

This  Gevrey Chambertin Red 2014 in Magnum from Louis Latour has an intense ruby color, it reveals an aromatic nose where liquorice, coffee and blackcurrant blend. The mouth is full and reveals notes of cocoa, coffee and offers a nice freshness. The tannins are present, the finish is long. A wine ready to drink with a good potential of Garde

Raised for 10 to 12 months in oak barrels, 20% new, this Gevrey Chambertin is a great wine perfect in its magnum packaging.

Located about ten kilometers from Dijon, Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the first winemaking villages of the Côte de Nuits. In 1847, Gevrey was the first village of Côte d'Or to join in the name of one of his grand cru: Gevrey-en-Montagne became Gevrey-Chambertin. Planted exclusively in Pinot Noir, we find all the hierarchy of Burgundy appellations: in the north the first crus and in the south the grands crus. The village appellation focuses on the piedmont. The red-brown, shallow, limestone and stony soil gives the Gevrey-Chambertin red wine power and body. A classic of the Côte de Nuits!

12bouteilles Tip : Perfect to drink today, it is a wine that must be aired 2 hours before serving. It will complement very well a dinner with game or mature cheeses
