The Champagne Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2017 in its gift box is an ode to the purity and mineral tension of Avize Chardonnay. Resulting from a rigorous selection of grapes harvested from August 31 to September 9, 2017, this cuvée unveils an aromatic expression of remarkable precision, highlighted by a fine dosage of 7 g/L and partial barrel aging.
Tasting Note:
The Appearance :intense, bright and luminous yellow, with a fine, creamy effervescence
The Nose : aromas of fresh almond, honeysuckle and lime, evolving upon aeration to grilled notes and a powdery touch typical of Avize chalk.
The Palate : precise and juicy attack, texture both creamy, chalky and taut, offering a saline and structured finish, reinforced by a subtle woody roundness.
12bouteilles' Recommendation: serve between 10 and 12 °C. Ideal as an aperitif with fine de Claire oysters, or as a gastronomic pairing with asparagus risotto, citrus sea bass fillet, or scallop carpaccio.
The Champagne Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2017 in its gift box is made exclusively from Chardonnay (100%).
The 2017 vintage was marked by spring frosts, a wet summer followed by a near‑tropical late August. The harvest, carried out from August 31 to September 9, underwent a drastic selection to retain only the healthiest and most concentrated bunches.
Winemaking includes 28% of the wines aged in wood to bring complexity and roundness, without malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness, a dosage of 7 g/L, and extended aging on lees in the House’s historic cellars.
The House of Louis Roederer, founded in 1776 in Reims and still family‑owned, is led by Frédéric Rouzaud, representing the seventh generation. Its 241 ha vineyard, spread across Grand and Premier Crus of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne, and the Côte des Blancs, embodies Champagne excellence through cuvées conceived as true works of art.
