In this Saint-Joseph cuvée, the "Ro-Rée" Blanc 2024 from the Domaine Louis Chèze offers a brilliant and refined interpretation of a great Northern Rhône white wine, made from Marsanne and Roussanne. Here is our tasting note:
Appearance: bright straw yellow.
Nose: delicate and floral, with aromas of acacia, hawthorn, and light honey.
Palate: smooth, round, and generous, with a silky texture and a gently honeyed finish. A wine full of charm and elegance.
The "Ro-Rée" Blanc 2024 is made from 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne, grown on granite and leucocratic migmatite soils in the hills above Limony. The vines, aged between 15 and 40 years, are farmed sustainably, and the harvest is done manually into 30 kg crates. The grapes are sorted on a vibrating table, gently pressed, and then fermented and aged in barrels (20% new) for 8 to 10 months with regular bâtonnage. Each variety is vinified separately, and the wine is bottled without filtration.
This gastronomic Saint-Joseph white combines complexity and finesse, seducing with its aromatic richness and aging potential. It can be enjoyed now or cellared to develop toasted and tertiary notes.
12bouteilles' Tip: Serve between 8 and 11°C. Perfect with white meats, fish in sauce, or lightly creamy dishes. Enjoy now or within 5 to 7 years.
