Joseph Drouhin : Beaune Clos des Mouches 2012
Burgundy - Beaune - 1er Cru - Red Wine -The Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches 2012 is an exceptional wine, unique, for which we have a particular affection at 12Bouteilles.com.
The Clos des Mouches is a tiny piece of land between Beaune and Pommard which is shared by some big Burgundy owners who have some rows of vines of which 14 hectares belong to the Drouhin family. This small plot of 6.75 hectares certainly produces one of the best and mythical wines of the house Drouhin. It takes its name from an old age, the clos sheltered many beehives and the bees were called Flies to honey.
It is the notes of red fruits that dominate with peppery notes. A lot of freshness and length in the mouth with a very balanced finish between tannins and Pinot Noir.
This mythical bottle is a bottle of connoisseur or passionate about Pinot Noir.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Drink now and keep for the next 25 years, this wine goes well with white meats and soft cheeses. A serve fresh 16, open at least 2 hours before tasting.
