Burgundy - Puligny Montrachet - White Wine -This Puligny Montrachet 2020, is a sublime white wine 100% Chardonnay produced by the Joseph Drouhin estate. It comes from a parcel of limestone soil, located in the central part of the Côte de Beaune, dedicated to great wines, on the Côte des Blancs, of which Puligny-Montrachet is part. It is an elegant wine that will seduce you.
The 2020 whites are fruity with excellent acidity and offer great aromatic complexity. Despite the summer heat, they are fresh and well-balanced. The premier crus and grand crus continue their maturation on lees, they take their time but undeniably gain in fullness, richness and aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes :
The robe: pure and brilliant, barely tinged with white gold
The nose: aromas of blossoming trees and white-fleshed fruit. With age, it evolves towards notes of almonds and slightly roasted dried fruits.
The palate: pleasant sensation of silky freshness with a long persistence of an exceptional aromatic, floral and fruity richness
The advice of 12Bouteilles: A great elegant white wine that we recommend serving around 13°C. It will be a perfect accompaniment to fish and cheese.
Maison Drouhin produces wines in 90 appellations ranging from Bourgogne Aligoté to Grands Crus, and from Chablis to Mâconnais. This family business has been located in Beaunes for about 130 years and operates 73 hectares of vineyards. Very involved in respect of the environment, working in organic agriculture and on biodynamic principles, Drouhin is one of the best producers in Burgundy. The particularity of the wines combines balance, harmony and character. The young wines have a subtle freshness, and with time they gain in complexity.
