Il Marroneto : Brunello di Montalcino 2011
Toscana - Brunello Di Montalcino - Red Wine -Brunello di Montalcino 2011 is an Italian red wine from the Il Marroneto estate, made by the Mori family.
This "upscale" wine is made from Sangiovese, the most famous varietal of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation, and the most famous and most used in Italy.
This huge Tuscan wine ferments for 11 to 12 days in stainless steel tanks, it is aged 29 months in oak barrels and 10 months in bottle.
It appreciates young as the guard, its peak is between 2015 and 2030.
A deep, complex and explosive nose. A superb attack that leads to a juicy mouth, fleshy, tasty with fat, a beautiful intensity that rises. Silky and beautiful tannins and a beautiful fruity expression. A generous wine, very representative of the work of the Mori family.
This 2011 vintage was rated 93+ by Robert Parker who described it as "beautifully intense ... profoundly eloquent in elegance ... a mythical vintage ..."
