Gérard Bertrand Gris Blanc Rosé 2025 is an iconic IGP Pays d'Oc rosé made from Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir. Instantly recognisable by its extremely pale colour with silvery-grey highlights, it focuses on freshness and finesse: delicate red berries on the nose, a lively palate with a subtle natural spritz and a clean, fresh, mineral finish. This 75cl screw-cap bottle contains the same wine while offering effortless opening, making it particularly convenient for aperitifs, summer dining and informal occasions.
Colour: extremely pale pink, almost crystalline, with the distinctive grey and white nuances associated with the wine.
Nose: delicate and appealing, dominated by small red berries with subtle floral notes.
Palate: fresh and elegant, with a slight spritz that enhances the fruit and brings additional energy. Light and refreshing in texture, it finishes clean and distinctly mineral.
Gris Blanc combines Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir. The vineyards are mainly located around Tautavel in Roussillon, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Low rainfall and abundant sunshine allow Grenache to ripen fully while retaining the fresh, delicate profile sought for this distinctive rosé.
The grapes are hand-harvested and directly pressed. Handling takes place under carbon dioxide protection to limit oxidation and preserve Grenache's delicate aromas. Fermentation is carried out at low temperatures between 15 and 18°C, followed by several weeks of ageing on the fine lees before bottling.
The name reflects both the wine's visual identity and the use of Grenache Gris. Direct pressing extracts very little colour from the skins, producing an exceptionally pale wine with shades somewhere between pale pink, silvery grey and white. This distinctive appearance has become one of the signatures of Gris Blanc.
This 75cl version is sealed with a screw cap. It is particularly practical for a rosé designed to be enjoyed young, providing effortless opening, eliminating the risk of cork taint and making the bottle easy to close again after serving. Gérard Bertrand also offers Gris Blanc with a traditional closure.
Serve Gris Blanc 2025 at 10-12°C. Excellent as an aperitif, it also pairs well with shellfish, Mediterranean salads, baked fish and Asian cuisine. Its refreshing character is particularly successful with aromatic and spicy dishes such as Thai curry or tagine.
Choose Gris Blanc for freshness and effortless drinking rather than power. Its subtle spritz, delicate fruit and mineral finish make it particularly well suited to aperitifs and summer meals. The screw cap fits the spirit of the wine perfectly: easy to open, practical to serve and without compromising the quality of the wine.

It is the same Gris Blanc 2025; only the closure is different. Gérard Bertrand officially offers both 75cl versions. The screw cap provides effortless opening and eliminates the possibility of cork taint. For a fresh rosé primarily intended to be enjoyed young, it is a particularly suitable closure.
No. A screw cap is not an indication of inferior wine quality. It is simply a different closure, particularly suitable for wines where preserving freshness and fruit is the priority. In the case of Gris Blanc, this version is sold directly by Gérard Bertrand.
Its colour results from both the grape varieties and direct pressing, which limits the extraction of pigments from the grape skins. The result is the wine's characteristic extremely pale appearance, combining pink, grey and almost white nuances.
It is not a sparkling wine. Gérard Bertrand does, however, describe a slight spritz on the palate, which enhances freshness and lifts the fruit. This subtle liveliness is part of Gris Blanc's distinctive profile and should not be confused with the bubbles of a sparkling rosé.
Yes. This is actually one of the wine's particularly useful food-pairing qualities. Its freshness, delicate fruit and light structure work well with aromatic and moderately spicy dishes. Gérard Bertrand specifically recommends Thai curry and tagine, as well as Asian cuisine.
Gris Blanc is primarily designed to showcase vibrant fruit and freshness. We therefore recommend enjoying the 2025 relatively young, ideally within two to three years, rather than keeping it for extended bottle ageing.
