Gérard Bertrand reveals the history of the great terroirs of the South of France.
Héritage "100" rend hommage à la Via Luteva, voie romaine datant du 1er Siècle avant Jesus Christ, propice aux échanges commerciaux et culturels.
In this 2021 vintage, Héritage "An 100" Terrasses du Larzac is a beautiful wine made from a blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre produced by Gérard Bertrand, once again demonstrating his remarkable mastery of the work: selection of the best plots, manual harvesting, double sorting in the vineyard and cellar, and barrel aging of a part of the harvest.
Here is our tasting of the 2021 vintage.
Color: Deep ruby red with mahogany highlights.
The Nose: Classic and powerful, marked by very ripe black fruits (blackberry, black cherry, plum), notes of toasted spices, and roasted oak.
The Palate: Opulent and lush, with velvety tannins. These black fruit aromas resonate. The balance is perfect, offering a beautiful length on the finish. The Color: a deep ruby red with mahogany highlights.
The 12bouteilles Advice: A top-tier wine from Languedoc, ideally opened 1 hour before serving to allow its aromatic complexity to fully unfold. Serve at 18°C with roasted red meats, poultry in sauce, or aged cheeses. It has an aging potential of at least a decade.
