Château de Beaucastel 2023 stands as one of the greatest wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The flagship cuvée of the Perrin family, it is renowned for its aromatic richness, complexity and legendary balance. Vintage 2023 offers both freshness and ripe concentration, delivering wines of power and refinement.
Appearance: deep garnet with bright purple highlights.
Nose: complex and expressive, dominated by black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), spices (pepper, licorice) and Provençal garrigue, with smoky and slightly animal notes typical of Beaucastel’s style.
Palate: full-bodied and structured, with dense yet velvety texture. Fine, elegant tannins and a refreshing lift balance the power. The long, persistent finish reveals mineral and spicy nuances.
Unique blend of all 13 authorized grape varieties of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a focus on Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault. Traditional vinification in wooden and concrete vats, followed by 12–18 months of aging in large oak foudres. This diversity creates the hallmark complexity and harmony of Beaucastel.
Perfect with roasted rack of lamb with herbs, game birds, Provençal stew, or aged hard cheeses. Also pairs beautifully with refined Mediterranean cuisine.
A majestic wine already approachable when young after aeration, but one that will gain complexity over time. Decant for 2 hours if enjoyed in its youth. Serve at 16–18°C. Exceptional aging potential: 20 to 30 years.
