Eric Bordelet Sidre Brut is one of France's benchmark artisanal ciders. A former sommelier at the renowned L'Arpège restaurant in Paris, Eric Bordelet has transformed the world of cider by applying the same precision and terroir-driven philosophy found in great wines.

Produced from organically and biodynamically farmed orchards in southern Normandy, this dry cider combines freshness, purity and remarkable balance. It is a true gastronomic cider, equally suited to an aperitif or a fine meal.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: bright golden colour with fine natural bubbles.
Nose: expressive aromas of fresh apple, quince, white flowers and delicate spice.
Palate: dry, crisp and refreshing, with lively acidity, fine bubbles and subtle bittersweet notes leading to a long, clean finish.

Blend & Terroir

Eric Bordelet Sidre Brut is crafted from around twenty traditional cider apple varieties, combining sweet, bittersweet, bitter and sharp apples.

The orchards grow on ancient schist soils in southern Normandy, giving the cider freshness, minerality and aromatic complexity. The apples are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness.

Production

After a short resting period, the apples are blended, crushed and gently pressed. Fermentation occurs naturally without chaptalisation, preserving the purity of both fruit and terroir.

This traditional method creates fine natural effervescence and outstanding balance between fruit, freshness and structure.
