E. Guigal : Crozes-Hermitage 2019 red

Rhone Valley - Crozes-Hermitage - Red Wine -

This 2019 Crozes-Hermitage from E. Guigal is full of fruit with charm and spice to highlight the northern expression of Syrah, which keeps its freshness and balance here.

This 100% Syrah wine is made from 35-year-old vines grown in clay and sandy-gravel soils.

Tasting notes :

The robe: Very dark and deep robe.
The nose: Small red fruits like cherry and strawberry, and delicate aromas of wood.
In the mouth: Tannic and massive wine. Aromas of blackcurrant buds and vanilla.

It is a wine of remarkable freshness, with very present tannins but worked by a prolonged maturing in wood. The vines are mostly on hillsides and come from the villages of Gervans, Mercurol, Larnage and Crozes-Hermitage.

The advice of 12bouteilles: To drink now or to keep in the cellar for about 8 years, this Crozes-Hermitage from the Côtes du Rhône will perfectly accompany red meats, games and cheeses. This Crozes-Hermitage of the estate is a classic of the Rhone Valley. A wonderful bottle for Syrah lovers!
