E.Guigal: Saint Joseph "Lieu-Dit" White 2020

Rhone Valley - Saint-Joseph - White Wine -

"Lieu Dit"  White is a white wine of Saint-Joseph appellation by E.Guigal estates, emblematic house of the Rhone Valley.

This white wine from E.Guigal is a unique expression of the excellence of the place called "Saint-Joseph" vineyard which is among the best in the appellation of Côtes-du-Rhône north. It is this hillside that, when the A.O.C. was created, gave its name to the Saint-Joseph appellation.

Blend of 95% Marsanne and 5% Roussanne, the vines used to produce this Saint-Joseph are between 20 and 75 years old and come from the best soils of the appellation.

This 2020 vintage has a beautiful straw-yellow color with golden highlights. The nose expresses very complex woody and floral aromas, with notes of hazelnuts and yellow fruits. In the mouth, the attack is very fat, bathed by the fruit and the roundness. A beautiful harmony between the vast aromatic palette and a characteristic fat of Saint-Joseph.

The advice of 12bouteilles: Ready to drink, this Saint-Joseph Blanc goes perfectly with fish and goat cheeses. Serve at 10 ° C to 12 ° C.

The label was produced by Roger PFUND, Franco-Swiss artist specializing in the design of banknotes. It is he who was the designer of the last series of French tickets.
