E. Guigal : Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe 2016
Rhone Valley - Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Red Wine -Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe is one of the great names of the Rhône valley !
Produced by E. Guigal, the most famous house in the Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2016 is a red wine that we love for its complexity and richness.
Blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah 5% others, the vines are about 50 years old and are grown in pebbles and rich in red clays.
This 2016 vintage adorns a beautiful dark red deep robe. The nose releases aromas of ripe red berries and spices with hints of jam.
On the palate, the tannins are round, powerful and of a great complexity. It is a rich, full and unctuous wine, with notes of ripe plums, stones and red fruits.
The advice of 12bouteilles: To keep 20 years or to drink now if you are a lover of young wines. Very nice with game birds, goes well with spices and generally with red meats and cheeses.
