E. Guigal : La Mouline Côte Blonde 2014

Rhone Valley - Côte-Rôtie - Red Wine -

La Mouline, Côte Blonde 2014  is an essential wine of E. Guigal, made in the Côte-Rôtie appellation of the Rhône Valley.

With a blend of 89% Syrah, and 11% Viognier, from vines around 75 years old, La Mouline 2014 have been aged for 40 months in Barrels.

Tasting notes :

The Dress: Ruby red colour with vermilion red highlights.
The Nose: Red berries, blackberry and floral aromas of violet, ... Aromatic intensity is powerful but fine.
The Palate: Very soft palate and harmony between the finesse of the aromas and the explosive richness due to the concentration of this wine.

It is a feminine wine of a voluptuous texture with silky, intensely aromatic velvety, rare vintage and as always an incredible success of the house Guigal
An incredible wine rated 95-97/100 by Wine Advocate :
Still aging in barrel, the 2014 Cote Rotie La Mouline is really charming, sexy stuff. Soaring florals emerge from the glass, accompanied by notes of dark fruit, espresso and grilled meat. Silky and seductive, it should drink well young yet be capable of developing for 20 years. Joe Czerwinski.

The advice of 12bouteilles: You can keep La Mouline 2014 for another 20 years in the cellar. Serve at 16-18 ° C with a game, Rossini Veal with truffles. Extraordinary wines need extraordinary dishes
