E.Guigal : Vignes de l'Hospice Saint Joseph 2014
Rhone Valley - Saint-Joseph - Red Wine -Les vignes of Hospice 2014 is a great red wine signed the E.Guigal estate.
Located on the most impressive and exclusive hillside of Saint-Joseph, ls vignes de l'Hospice Saint Joseph comes from the former Domaine Jean-Louis Gripppat and Vallouit. This Saint Joseph represents the finesse of its name while being powerful, like Hermitage on the opposite bank.
This 100% Syrah grape variety is made from vines aged between 20 and 80 years old and is a fine example of finesse and the power of its appellation.
This 2014 vintage is adorned with a beautiful dress of a dark red color. Powerful and intense, the nose is a complex bouquet dominated by black fruits and delicate aromas of new wood. On the palate, the attack is powerful, the tannins present are fine and elegant.
The Vines of the Hospice has a good aging potential, you can keep it in the cellar for about ten years.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Serve it around 16 ° C-18 ° C, it will go well with red meats.
"The 2014 St Joseph Vignes des Hospice is scheduled to be bottled in January and it’s a more granite-influenced wine that offers lots of minerality as well as a sexy, textured mouthfeel, notes of black raspberry, currants, crushed flowers, cured meats and sweet tannin, with its oak component pushed far into the background. Give bottles a year or two and enjoy over the following decade." Jeb Dunnuck - Wine Advocate.
